Jean Chang is an award winning producer having worked with international broadcasters like The History Channel, Channel NewsAsia, Al Jazeera, NHK International, Discovery Asia and the Crime & Investigation Network. She is recognized for her ability to adapt to any situation, whether it be talking to sex workers in Kuala Lumpur’s red light district, connecting to life long drug using fishermen on Malaysia’s conservative East Coast to chatting with high profile politicians and academics. She is empathic, able to quickly connect and see the world from the perspective of the people she meets. From acrobatic Cambodian circus orphans, death defying Indonesian bull riders to trafficked Rohingya refugees – Jean not only connects with them, but sees the world through their eyes, in an effort to tell their stories in the most authentic way.
